Nursey NIGHTMARE!

With less than 13 weeks to go until Baren is due we figured it was time to get going on the nursery. We have the perfect bedding picked out and we think the most wonderful colors. BUT, of course there is a but, we have to get rid of the HORRIBLE paint job that is in his room now.
I understand love of a team, I am a HUGE Denver Broncos fan, which also happen to be the same colors of the Boise State Broncos, and therefore the colors that his room was painted, but COME ON! This is horrible! Not only was it horrible to look at, it was one of the worst paint jobs I have ever seen! So here is the before of the nursery and a little of the during. Notice that after TWO coats of primer you can still see through the lovely green, blue, and orange underneath! Josh did get two walls painted and will finish it when he gets back next time. I am so excited to see it and I will post pictures for you to see then! The crib is also set up and it feels so great to know he could actually come home and we would be okay! We can not wait to meet him!
Happy Valentines Day!

Josh Gracin Day

I teach at a pretty amazing school. I am not just saying that today because of what they accomplished because I have felt that since I started there. I LOVE the kids that attend our school. I love the teach them and know that it is helping them more than most and I love what great and caring people there are already. Over 92% of the students at our school are on free or reduced lunch. Not because their parents are bad people they are trying hard, so hard for many of them.
Anyways, there was a contest on one of the local radio stations, KISN 93.1 (I think) to help raise money for the "Coats for Kids" campaign. The winner would be the school that donated the most money and would get country singer Josh Gracin to come perform a live concert for the whole school! AND WE WON! Yes, we have a penny drive and donated more money than any other school in the Treasure Valley! It was so amazing! These are the kids that need to be getting coats from a fund like that, and THEY raised the most money for it. It still tears to my eyes as I type this!
So Wednesday was the big day. Josh Gracin Day at Van Buren! We all sported our Van Buren Bobcat T-shirts and had a great time! He brought the band and performed for all 565 students and 30 plus some staff. It is was great. So many of the kids had never even been to a concert....it was just AMAZING!
They then gave the teachers free tickets to the night concert that Josh Gracin was putting on at the bar in Boise. So about ten of us, and my mother-in-law, went out for that as well. It was a good time! And I can tell you that my new tunes for the car and my ipod are Josh Gracin! What a great guy for doing that for us!
And my hubby is home again! I love to have him here, but hate to think that it means he will be leaving again. You would think it would get easier for me! Well he will be gone for Valentines day so we did that all day yesterday. We went to Cabela's because he "needed" some warm gear. WOW, was I bored in there! I did however find a clearances pair of sandals that I will be sporting this summer!
And with me needing to scrapbook more with all of my fun new Close To My Heart supplies, I needed pictures....and here you go! (Not so crazy about how big the belly is looking in that shot, it must be the sweater! :))

Today we, okay Josh is and I will watch, painting Baren's room! I will take before and after shots because you would think I was lying if I told you what it looks like now! SCARY! I am so excited to see it all come together! We have the crib, stroller, car seats, pack and play, rocking chair, and lots of other misc. stuff. Talk about an expensive kid! :)
